A propos de moi
Hi,
My name is John, I have been interested in Photography from an early age and purchased my first SLR when attending art college. It was a Zenith E, and everything was manual - focus, stopping down the aperture, setting the exposure timing etc., fiddly and time consuming but it certainly was a good introduction to using a camera.
My photography took a back seat whilst my family was young, and when digital arrived I was slow to accept this new concept, being stubborn that it could never rival film. Eventually I purchased a Canon A70, and realised the massive advantages of digital, which are so obvious now, and plainly do not need repeating here, since I am talking to converts.
I now have a Canon 350E DSLR with just 2 modest lens, Canon EFS 18-55mm and Canon EF 75-300mm USM.
A lot of my enjoyment in photography comes from the image manipulation side. I am a professional user of Photoshop, working as a retoucher in the graphics industry, and because I love my job, it has become part of my hobby.

It is too difficult to decide which of your pictures I like best: the landscapes, especially the Lake District ones, the Italian ones, the flowers ... They are all top notch in mho.Greetings, Andang

Hi John, nice to have you here :-))
Your stubborness concerning digital photography matches mine for I purchased my very first DSLR just this year ... before, I was a conservative film user (and I used LOTS of those ;-) ) and although I try to get used to those many functions of my new achievement, I never will sell my good old equipement just in case, you know...;-)
Okay then, lets have a good time here, with lots of things to see and show!
Greets
