yes, you see them a lot these days! there's a meadow behind our house, and in june the oxeye daisies on it are in full bloom – apparently, it's a paradise for the "red soldier beetle" (whose name, by the way, i've just learned from you!): they are clinging to every other flower stem, sticking their little heads out and scanning the grounds – for potential mates, i guess ; )). a beautiful shot of the little critter, mark! he seems quite determined, too, checking whether "the abyss" is worth a jump ; ))… greetings, sabine.
