native to central and southern europe, the caucaus, asia minor, and quite comfortable in the rock garden of our front yard, too – mighty poisonous would be my guess, as so far they've survived the rabbit invasion unharmed and un-nibbled! ; ) still dreaming of eternalizing them in a shot as beautiful as yours, though. purple and blue seem to be tricky colors for my camera… or me maybe. love how you captured the lower blossom in full glistening bloom: with the stamen looking like the spinning gondolas of a fairground attraction! ; )) greetings, sabine.
