an excellent close look at the private life of these two ladybugs ... beautiful sharp details, interesting how one is so much redder than the other.
here too this species has taken over, and I have not seen an original native ladybird for years !!!

eating and mating – those two fundamental needs! ; ) maybe the little green aphids know that their nemesis is busy, otherwise they'd be taking an awfully big risk, scuttling towards them, and i'd be tempted to call them suicidal… ; )) great macro wildlife shot, i agree! greetings, sabine.
