Wow! It looks so funny, playful and a little winky! And I wonder about the pollards at the roadside! Normally they are a part of a harbour! ;-)
I can imagine what you do like at this place!
And you taken your photo from just the right angle! Great view!
Warm greetings, Sabine
Hallo Adele,

Dear Adele, I love St. John's too! I was there many years ago during my maritime history. You have given me the pleasure of reminiscing about my old visit to this cozy town.
Thank you!
Warm regards,
Sergey.
Long time ago as we were in Canada for a visit of Sabine's aunt her daughter told us, that the Canadians often make jokes about the people living in Newfoundland. Do they still so nowadays? Very colourful houses in this part of St. Johns. Remarkable for me ist the installation of the telephone lines via masts. In Germany the lines are installed below the ground.
Warm regards Bernd
thank you, Bernd ....you will find tall poles with telephone and internet and electricity lines everywhere in Canada, usually in back alleys like here in Vancouver (easy to fix when there is a problem). Our new suburbs have everything underground.
Those jokes were popular many years ago - like the ones in Germany about a certain country - cruel :-(((
