I live in Florida, USA since the seventies. I also had most of my education in this country since my father decided to send me over here - when I was just a young lad - to attend school.

I have had the great opportunity to travel to more than seventy countries. I'm so fortunate since this has given me the chance to see so many different peoples, geographies and colors in five continents. And I continue traveling whenever possible. This year I have already been back - I never get tired of returning to them - to Spain (twice), France and Argentina (where I'll travel again for the third time this year by the end of September.) These are three marvelous destinations among quite a few others.

A country which really impacted me was Tanzania since it gave me the possibility to see and enjoy Nature at its best. Another one was India with its deep spirituality and contrasts. And Japan is very special to me in many ways but I would need more writing space to describe it, which is not the case here.

Even though the sun is of great assistance here in Florida to render bright and realistic colors in photography, there is no doubt that each region around the globe has its own pecularities which helps to take THE best picture, always, whenever and wherever you may be.

I'm a simple amateur photographer and enjoy this as an art: the most realistic of them all. My preferred are portrait and nature photography. I have been taking pictures since I was 8 years old (when I was given a German Agfa as a birthday gift, and later I bought a Leica, which really helped me in developing a love for photography.) Actually have a couple of cameras and lenses and have also ventured into digital since last year. We'll see what happens...
