I'm 56 years old and I've had an amateur interest in photography since I was at school. It was one of my main interests for many years but I did eventually give it up. I think that I got fed up of spending a whole evening in a makeshift darkroom just to make one or two decent colour prints.

The availability of cheap digital cameras and affordable photo quality printers has got me started again a few years ago with a Nikon Coolpix 4300. Last year I bought an HP Photosmart D7360 printer which I'm very pleased with. I've just acquired a Canon A590 camera; I didn't really need it but the pre-Xmas offers were just irresistable.
