A propos de moi
The photo to the right is actually one of my first photographs. It was taken in front of the Catskill Boys Club in Catskill New York in about 1955. In addition to all the sports activities offered, they offered photography classes and I really got interested. I don't even remember the camera, but I remember developing the film and making prints. I still have the negative somewhere, it's 2 1/4 x 2 1/4.
After we moved away, I kind of lost interest in photography until I started taking photos in college to use as references for paintings. I soon realized that photos were art in themselves, and took every photography class I could.
My favorite themes are derelict industrial buildings and railroad equipment, and photographing action figures and/or custom dolls either in dioramas or outdoors using various background settings.
I currently use Kodak and Sony digital cameras, but still have several film cameras and a complete black and white darkroom setup stored away.
