8) Walkabout with German FC member Joachim in Surat Thani South Thailand!!

Walkabout down South with Joachim, we visited this temple in Surat Thani.
These kids receive extra tuition on the weekends from the in house Monks.
When we arrived they were sitting in the shade under massive Ficus trees whilst the monks with gentle tones gave instruction to them.
The gentleman in the background is no other than Joachim Häfner Joachim Häfner from
Schorndorf, Germany and Surat Thani, Thailand.
Joachim kindly showed us around Surat Thani and the Island of Ko Samui.
No matter where you travel in South East Asia, the kids are always smiling.
What puzzles me, is why the kids who have nothing are so happy, our kids and grand children don’t seem to have this same quality of happiness??
Could it be that we are overloading ours with too many material items???
Something to ponder on.
Well Monday morning will see me off to Bangkok for a while before heading home to Australia.
Am I homesick you may ask, after almost 7 months of gallivanting around Asia without any objectives in mind?
If it were not for my Son, Daughter and Grandson, I think I would be happy enough to hang my boots up here!
