Midtown East Winter Nightscape
On this very clear December night, the iconic Art Deco spire of the Chrysler Building dominates
New York City's Midtown East skyline as seen from the 1,200 foot high vantage point of Summit One Vanderbilt.
Beyond this architectural treasure can be seen the United Nations Secretariat and, across the
East River, in Long Island City, the bold neon of the Pepsi-Cola sign, casting its reflection in the water.
Speaking of neon, the red ‘T” to the right of the Chrysler’s spire spells out Hotel Tudor.
And just to its left, one can see the Tudor City Place overpass above E 42nd Street.
And, speaking of red, the red bands along 42nd St signify bus lanes.
