once upon a time...
These windmills in Amorgos, once upon a time, were in full swing....Now they stand only as picturesque but morbid relics like ancient greek columns reminiscent of a glorius past... The wind remains the same though...Blows as furiously as ever....As it was blowing centuries back....

Une belle lumière pour ces magnifiques moulins, Je ne sais pas si il était possiblede se décaler légèrement sur la droite pour ne pas avoir la roue dans l'axe des moulins.Franky Möhn 17/06/2013 16:41

it's wings are a crossbow, forever frozen in mock-defense of don quixote's lance! ; ) another time, another country, i know, and yet it was the first thought that popped up in my mind… what a beautiful ancient touch to this lovely place and scenery! the misty and somewhat cool but tender glow of the evening (?) sun adds the apposite melancholy feel to the image! greetings, sabine. p.s.: great symbiosis of image and words, too, alexander!Ratko Nedovic 15/06/2013 10:53
" once upon a time... ", when people doesn't have a mobile phone etc., were much happier than today.Very well represent.

The Iconic mills caught in the nice lighting :-)) HaroldSue Thompson 15/06/2013 9:54
Times change as do people and the work must have been very hard when these mills were working. At least they now make great subjects for photographers.:))
