It would be interesting to compare, and then again you have to weigh the balance on bottom, so maybe it won't work, as the tracks part almost immediately when I looked... ; and yes, it is the sky and the light in it that eleviates the feeling of "no exit" and gives hope. I too must redo the one you commented on. As soon as they fix my uploads, as at the moment I am at minus six :)) See you.

@Vesela: thank you very much for your comment. you have a very interesting interpretation of this shot. I had had serious problems with this photo,(including loss of quality during upload) so I will crop it, and "enhance" it with the almighty PhotoShop. I will upload the new one asap.

Hi Ionut, I think this is a great pic, and I love the way you handled the colour and light. I do like the sky and I think that although the tracks part there is the feeling of expectation -- of something positive and that comes ahead precisely from the sky light and perspective. In a nutshell I like your interpretation, maybe only I'd have cropped a tiny bit on the very top, no more :))) Your FC buddy, Vesela.

I too agree with Patrick: keep it simple..
I love the highlights on the tracks...and that for me is the image...crop it...and see what YOU think !

When looking at a scene, determine what key element attracts you and motivates you to capture the image.
Then determine if the rest of the environment adds or detracts from your primary focus. Experiment with camera position and try horizontal and vertical perspectives.

I think the focus of this shot should be the graphic element of the train tracks. If you are going to include the wide perspective, then you need to expose for the other elements in the shot. Tough to do when you have such a bright sky. Bracketing and PS to the rescue.

ok, i find the light in the middle way to bright, so the buildings in front have no texture at all, well might have been your intention.
what i miss most is a clear point of focus. the whole photo seems to soft and unsharp for me.

    cheers
