Trent Valley from Waddington.

This picture was taken whilst walking back home from Waddington Airshow, on July 4th 2009. The walk is along the Viking Way. This is a long distance footpath which runs for approximately 145 miles from the Humber Bridge at Barton-upon-Humber to Oakham, passing through some of the quietest and most attractive scenery in eastern England.

This is one of the views I am afforded while walking along the route to my home in Waddington. It looks over the Trent Valley. On the horizon can be seen 3 Power Stations, High Marnham in the centre, Cottam, and West Burton at the extreme right. They all lie along the river Trent. High Marnham power station is no longer in use.

Like it steve great shot I like the sharpness of the log pile and the b/w tone makes the photo well thought out.

Beautiful scenery and a panoramic view, what a long footpath! Unusual to see three power stations in such close proximity. Although only two are in use, they must need to serve a large area.
