Sue, Regarding the lack of tones that you speak about in the shot Innis & Gunn, All I can say about the range of tones is that it goes from pure black to pure white on the tonal gauge that I have in the software that I use in my editing.
Dear Sue,
I wish you and Harold to have best time of your lives at Christmas and all through the coming year.
May all your wishes come true.
Hugs to you both
Canan
Hello Sue,
honestly I was a bit worried that you might take my comment the wrong way. I totally agree with you - honest and constructive criticism is what we all need to learn and do things better (which I suppose is what everyone wants).
On the other side my comment was also thought as a compliment on your lastest works of art, which I esteem so much - especially your landscape photography in Scotland. Simply wonderful and much admired on my side.
Sue - I also wish you a wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year with loads of great pics.
All the best,
Nils
Oh, Sue,
You really made my day, this morning, with your comment on my photo from Nepal! We all need your optimism and joy for life!..

I fully agree, Sue, that the pyramid that has nowadays replaced the golf balls looks sinister and much away of any vigilant expectaion. That's why, for once more, I felt the urge to recall a bit of the old magic of the place for the sake of ...youngers. For the sake of history!
