Thanks very much Sue for your attention on my photo. The photo was taken in Lhasa (Tibet) in Dalailamas sacred "den"(palace) Potala that after his expatriation by the Chinese is a sacred place, a church for Tibetans and museum for foreigners. The shot was taken with analogue camera and a Provia slide film, with only the light of the candles and " a la derobee" of course!...Greettings alexander
Hi Sue
Thanks very much for your comments about my Whitby picture and especially for the newspaper clip. I'm sure the "famous church" will keep staying on its post for ever. History and tradition know how to remain unharmed in England! alexander stefanatos

Thank you, Sue! We see these gorgeous guys, along with their less colorful, but still beautiful, mates day in and day out. It's nice to stop once in a while to get a nice close look at these wonderful creatures. I could have pushed the red a little, but I wanted to portray him in his natural winter feathers! It's for sure we picked the right one for our state bird! Come back to see us again sometime - we have plenty of pretty birds for you to watch! We'd love to have ya!
Hi Sue, I hope your well. I don't know much about trees which is rather sad since i photograph them all the time, but i think you could be right about this one being a Scots Pine. Thanks for all your nice comments.
Good morning Sue. There was a couple of 4x4's sitting in the drive so you may have to wait a while to get your dream house ! The pic was taken at Athelstaneford which is where the Scottish national flag is said to have originated. I appreciate your comment. Regards Maurice.
