Thanks very much! I haven't a clue as to what was going on with this store, but it intrigued me with all its mystery - at least two locks on the door, and just the hint of shadow from the interior to give us a clue as to what was inside, and the "OPEN" sign was the clincher. Today, there is an empty field where this establishment once stood. We'll never know now...
Thank you very much, Helen! I think we have a mutual admiration society going on here, as I am enjoying looking at your work, also! I'm pretty much of an off-the-wall shooter, as I'm always looking for the unusual, either through image or angle, or lighting. I am somewhat of a traditionalist, as I still like to capture the usual "Ahh!" type photo, but I'm the one out there photographing the people watching a sporting event or a large structure fire, my back to the main action! I am very glad you are enjoying my work, as I am yours, and I hope to have some new submissions in the near future.
Thank you, Helen. I appreciate your kind comments on all my photos! I just purchased a new 70-300mm EF-S lens for my Canon 550D, and took it mout of the box, set it up, and went out on my patio and shot the moon! I am very pleased with the results, and I plan to get a load of nature shots this summer. The settings on the moon shot were :f/5.6 @ 1/200 sec., ISO 200. I was looking at your portfolio, and you have some gorgeous shots in there. I like the close-up of the cat! Being a cat lover, and the owner of three, of course I'm partial!

I forgot to state that the moon shot was taken @ a f/l of 300mm. I wanted to test the outer limits of the lens, with great results!.Dave Keen 12/05/2011 15:44
