Thank you for your comment, and i am glad you liked the picture. The water in the picture is the Hardangerfjord, and the mountain to the right is Oksen. City of Kinsarvik is 5min drive frome were i stand. About the blue sky. The blue hour is the time from after the sun leaves for the day untill it is completely dark. The picture is taken around this time, and if i went out today at he same time the skies would have only this blue tint...and nothing else...a boring picture. What was special the evening when i made "red" was that only a single beam of sunlight came back for split second (or 5-10 seconds) lighting only the lowest skies (1000meters). The blue skies were not influenced by this lightbeam as they were much higher...maybe 2000 meters, holding their natural color for the amount of light present. A stormfront outside of the picture was holding the rest of the light back.
I should also say this; Originally the colors where a bit softer. In PS i copyied the picture and blended the two of them using the Overlay mode. taking opacity back to 65%. So thats my secret
Thank you for your kind comments.
On this occasion I only took the opportunity to photograph, not to sit - but I knew the moment the shutter was pressed that this would make a nice photo to enjoy sitting at home :-)
best regards,
Andy
