Maria thank you from in my heart for "favorizing" my pic. Islamic art in Persia is something exquisite, not bearing any relation to islamic art elsewhere. It reaches an esthetic climax,especially with the "mukarnas".Iranians are not Arabs so they "envelopped" elements of their ouwn traditional culture to islamic influence as to make a dynamic blend of high aesthetic standards which is apparent in their mosques.This art reached a climax in the era of Saffafides dynasty (1500-1700) being called the Medici of Persia. Isfahan is really a dreamy city especially its main square Meidan, one of the most beautiful in the world.
