thank you my friend, Jost for your commentary. I haven't been active in fc for the last while. The weather has been terrible and I didn't much feel like going out. Last weekend we had the whole family here for dinner: 12 people! I was amazed. When I came to Canada 60 years ago, it was just me (and my parents). Perhaps I accomplished something.
I was also busy writing about your Hamburg Phliharmoniker und Frau Simone Young for a Canadian music magazine.(und Bruckner). auf wiedersehn & danke janos

You are just right,Jost, to mention the pretty old Whitby pubs, not to leave, of course, the Robin Hood's Bay ones out...Nothing better to sit a cold wintery night by the cracking fire and sip an original scottish malt listening to the madly blowing wind outside. After all, the famous "The Prospect of Whitby" is the oldest (1520!) and best London pub in the region of Docklands. Don't miss it next time you are in London.
