Península Valdés

Im Jahre 1999 wurde die Halbinsel Valdés in der Provinz Chubut auf die Liste der Weltnaturerbe gesetzt.
Diese Halbinsel bildet zusammen mit der Küste von Puerto Madryn den Golfo Nuevo.
Sie ist mit 3625 Km² die größte argentinische Halbinsel und eines der wichtigsten Naturschutzgebiete der Welt.
Das Klima ist gemäßigt und trocken, im Sommer warm mit Temperaturen bis 21°C und im Winter mit 8°C kühl. Die starken Pamperos Winde bringen Tagesextreme von 10°C unterschied.

Das Meer ist hier besonders Planktonreich, die Vegetation ist spärlich und vom Monte, einer Steppenhaften Buschlandschaft geprägt.

Ein wahres Tierparadies für Seelöwen und See-Elefanten, Nandus, Guanakos, diverse Vogelarten, bis zu 200.000 Magellan Pinguinen, die fast 20 Meter langen Südkaper eine Glattwalart und mit Glück sieht man auch Orcas.

In the Year 1999 the Peninsuala Valdés in the province Chubut was set on the list of world natural heritage by the UNESCO.
This peninsula forms the Golfo Nuevo together with the coast of Puerto Madryn.
With 3625 km ² it is the largest Argentine peninsula and one of the most important protected nature reserve of the world.
The climate is moderate and dry, in the summer warmly with temperatures around 20°C and in the winter with 8°C cool. The strong Pamperos wind brings daily extremes of 10°C difference.

The Sea is extremly rich of plankton, the vegitation is meager and by the Monte, a stepp kind of bush scenery stamped.

A true animal paradise for Seelions, Sea-Elefants, Nandus, Guanakos, various kinds of birds, up to 200.000 Magellan penguins, the nearly 20 meters long south caper a kind of smooth whale and with luck you can also see Orcas.
