have to say that i have never "let a cow fly" – poor creature! – nor used that expression – ever! ; ) must be a regional peculiarity… could swear i already commented on this image! but maybe the comment got lost in cyberspace like an airsick cow… ; )) what i did say, i think, is that i like the great depth of the image, the big barge coming towards us, trailed by the seemingly smaller ones in the back. a terrific sight, that huge sail! and one that in earlier times might have inspired artists like william turner or francis swaine to turn it into a maritime painting… greetings, sabine.
