That´s really a thrilling, interesting and charming event! Even more so when people are dressed adequately and photographers make use of their older equipment!
Apart from the photographers the ladies seem to have the most fun, hair done in matching manner of the time and with the inevitable hat on, surely gloves, not to be spoken of the rest of their undoubtly charming, even thrilling outfit like elegantly tailored and figure-charming costumes, seamed nylons and matching heels, a dressing style many of us are desperately missing these days! Maybe you could take one or anther photo of these!

Thanks so much for your thoughts, Tom. Yes, we've lost a lot when it comes to style...and class, and it was fun to be among people - even young ones - who so enjoy immersing themselves in the earlier styles, whether dress or music. And, of course, the contrast is even more noteworthy when compared to some of the contemporary outfits one sees now in the Subway ;-). Like you, I miss some of the more tailored and flattering (and, dare I say, feminine) clothing and hair styles of earlier decades...
Thank you for asking to see more from this event. I do plan to add more here on F-C, as well as a photo-story about the experience on my Medium.com pages I will let you know when the latter is done. Meantime, you can view additional photos of my afternoon on the Holiday Nostalgia Train in my New York City folder.
All best,
Steve
Thank you for the additional thoughts, Steve. Yes, I think its not only the two of us who are missing those elegant and most feminine styles from the fifties! And, of course, also the men were dressed in a more formal but nonetheless more elegant way - hat and gloves were simply a must, polished shoes, correct haircuts, surely a tie completed a man´s outfit. On the other hand - who nowadays would dare have a cigarette hanging off the corner of his mouth while being in public, on the streets or even worse, in the subway or any bus, train, ship, plane..!
Will take a look into your folder for sure and also look forward to more pics on your medium pages!
So long, alles Gute!
