I will be completely honest with you. I have never watched Soccer. Sorry, I am one of those loser Americans who stick to football and baseball and doesn't understand any different. But, the girl is amazing. She displays such pride and demands respect. I like her ALOT!
Kudos,
Sara
If I don't read your comment, Dirk, I see perfectly a picture of conqueror. What that's precisely a work very well done.
When I read your pleasant comment on the sport, but after the international championship is closed, I notice three things. 1) your photo is very creative, about the July 9Th, yes, it's a good idea. 2) each event, so universal it is, becomes blurred with time. 3) you like write (me to).
And four, I hope you understand me !
And don't bear a grudge against me :-))))))
Bye, Dirk

nice pic, great idea with your comment.. sport must be that : time to make friends event if competition must go on.. Nice idea, the day on FC, the photoprojects exercices too ! cheers Véronique
Like it Dirk.
Great pic, great post!
Germany should be congratulated on an excellently organised tournament. It's a shame not all of the football lived up to expectation after the 1st round [especially England :-(]
I thoroughly enjoyed Germany v Italy it was one of the best games of the tournament worthy of being the final itself, but I must admit I was supporting Italy ;-)
As for the flags, we had complaints from the 'pc' section here too to the extreme where Taxi drivers weren't allowed to fly a flag in case they upset their customers! utter nonsense. A little national pride is a good thing so long as we all respect the right of others to enjoy a similar pride in their nationality.
Hi Dirk, a lovely summary of how so many people feel just now in Germany. As a foreigner living here for almost 20 years I can appreciate most of what you say.
Here is my small tribute to the millions who made it work:

Thanks for the story. Cudos to Germany and to soccer fans everywhere who "partied correctly".
