The Lesser Sandhill Crane has a red forehead, white cheeks and a long dark pointed bill. Its long dark legs trail behind in flight, and the long neck is kept straight in flight. Immature birds have reddish brown upperparts and gray underparts (Wiki).

It's amazing how animals search for their food. Most all of the time there is water nearby. Your time looks well spent in being able to fotograph these birds and maintain superb details on the feathere and the foilage. In keeping a good capture, waiting for the third bird to come into the picture was the bonus.Regards
