Behind TheBars of Faith
The are here like thousands of other Romanians. They are waiting for their moment to pray to a real icon covered in wax and sealed so no one can pick pieces from the saint and take it home as a souvenir to place on their personal alter at home.
For over eight decades they have made the trek to receive and have a better life. Now they not only wish for themselves, but for their children that don't have time to embrue the old ways via religion.
