Far from Perfect, yet so close..

Now what shall my comment be.

I can't really describe how much passion went into this sketch.
Call it even a frenzy.

To be technical: A3, normal pen, charcoal, fixing spray (the effect of which on the pen i did not anticipate, it's why it's so dark, this is how it looks in real life)

This drawing. I've been dreaming about it, daydreaming, talking, everything you could possibly do with a project without actually STARTING it...
Then I sat next to my sketch book, sitting next to the depressing "Perfection" drawing...

And then it started, without even thinking about it, i didn't even have time to choose my very drawing pen but just picked up the very next pen-like device, starting to sketch.

I was gonna draw something perfect, something that would resemble his perfection in reality, something that would display every single hair, every single muscle in his eye, every single grain of dust on his hair.

I drew with adrenaline rushing through my veins, my heart beating like i hadn't felt it beating before, beating with pleasure, beating with delight. I couldn't stop the irrational wide smile across my lips, couldn't stop my hand, couldn't stop it from moving wildy, in a totally unperfect manner across the page, creating a swirl of wild lines, a swirl of passion, of love.

What my hand created, was something i didn't plan, and in a fraction of time of any of my other drawings, I depicted my cat, in wild strokes, with rough hair, far from perfection. With solemn eyes, his calm nature.

A great I'm-so-grownup----until-i-see-a-ribbon, a great character.

A cat that strolls through the world looking at life rushing by, and then just lies down on a rock, waiting for you to come out, and then just silently enjoys your companionship.

This is Dicker. This is, My Love.

Sorry about the essay. It's hard to capture passion in three sentences :-\
