I do not agree that the shot is too "burnt out" or "overexposed". It depends on what you are looking for in this shot. The title merntions the floodlight and therefore, I would expect floodlight effects.
Having said that, Adele, If you want to have a little less burn out, the way I would do it in PS is to select the very light bits only with the colour select tool. Then change the highlights with the level adjustment tool to get a better distribution, This would not effest the detail that you speak about

Have managed to take some of the brightness on the big lawn away, however, at the same time I am losing a lot of detail between the trees and from the leaves. Have decided to keep this version and not re-load.
