Get Well Soon

One of several shots taken to cheer up my sister, Sarah, as she lounges about in hospital waiting to get better.

She hasn't seen her little garden balcony for a week or so now.

I actually wished I had used a smaller f-stop, in hindsight, to get the background maybe just a little more in focus - but only a little more.

An exceptional foto - flowers are always beautiful. Sarah will no doubt love the picture. (What's an "f - stop"?)
My best wishes to your sister - R

Thanks for your comment, Elaine. I won't go into specific details about what the surgeons did with her, needless to say they did a good job and with any luck she should be out of hospital tomorrow. After that, she has to rest for a month and then slowly try to get back to normal.

The last bit of worry we have is waiting to see if she had anything cancerous. Fingers crossed though.

love this picture especially the desaturated and unfocused background,
Just wondering if your sis is back and on her feet again?

    Thanks for all your comments.

She's on the mend now, but it required major surgery to get her there. She will be recovering for quite some time but has had a smile on her face today and shoud be back home within a couple of weeks.

And Rob, I can't find a fecking Tamron 28-75 F2.5 anywhere for less than £350. I think you should sell me yours for £5.89 (plus P&P of course)

No Rob, you got it right. I am about to publish a shot from the Rochester Dickens festival in your honour. Its just snap, but its OK.

Hi Rob, I missed this earlier obviously not concentrating properly.
Anyway I agree wth John, the subtle colours work really well with the fuzzy background.
I really like this picture a simple composition but very effective.
    Stu.

p.s Best wishes to your Sister for a speedy recovery.

The colours are so subtle it would have been a pity to increase definition in the background.
    Greetings.

I don't know Rob, I like it just the way it is. The back ground could get to distracting if you were to clear it up some. The flowers are the main focal point in this image. I love the colors. Get well wishes to your sister.

    Rob,

An f-stop is the different 'F' settings on a camera, e.g. F2.8, F22, etc. Thanks for your comment.

Had to upload the shot again because the picture diappeared after your comment !!
