Going Nowhere

These shoes were abandoned in the middle of a flat roof on a building next to my hotel at Venice Beach, LA. They made me wonder how they got there, who they’d belonged to, etc.

Captured in RAW, converted to JPG in CS4. Post-pro tonal adjustment only. Original monochrome colouring!

This sad song, Going Nowhere by the late Elliott Smith, seems to echo the mood perfectly.
