Hebridean Tour: Traces of Neolithic Past - Neolithische Spuren
The amazing thing for normal visitors is the wealth of neolithic stones, burial chambers, cairns, etc. on the Outer Hebrides. These islands like many others thrived 4-5 thousand years ago! This set of standing stones on North Uist are called Pobull Fhinn or Finn's People.
There are lots of theories as to why they are there. I am most impressed that they are still there and pointing the way, if we recognize it!

Grate photo! we call it "menhir" in my country, and it has a very interesting meaning. One of the first arhitectural activity of man combined with superstition. Organic architecture that's gven a specific destination, nothing was in vain.Congratulation on your photo, well done,
