A flat dark Background with no noise gives the Nebula a good contrast.
I'll think, that your 400d is not h-alpha modified because the red part's of the nebula are not so intensive as the blue part's. Can you give additional information of the single exposure times of the RAW-Pictures, which stacking program i.e.
