Moment supreme for Kingfishers
This is my first picture on FC, so Id like to begin with a little introduction:
My name is Dennis Rademaker, 24 years of age and living in Holland.
Photography has always been something special to me and since 2 years ive gathered my gear and spend allot of time in the field.
I hope you can enjoy my work asmuch as I do making it!
My heart beats faster everytime I think back of the day this occured right infront of my nose.
It all started by setting up my blind which I use to conceal myself for the wildlife.
10 minutes after setting up the blind the female Kingfisher flew down onto the branch wich overhangs the water.
About 30 seconds later the male Kingfisher came onto the branch aswell and he had brought a nice meal for his "wife"!
After giving her the fish the female Kingfisher signaled the male that she was ready for mating and WHOOP there they go!
Light circumstances were not great, I had to shoot this picture with the 40D +500mm f/4L at f/5 and ISO 800.
I did my best to get rid of the noise as much as possible.
But fortunatly the picture came out better as I expected!
