I checked Wikipedia to locate the mountain. (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damawand) German Wikipedia tells that it is lower than 5671m and states an altitude of 5604m but it is still incredible. The english site of Wikipedia tells an altitude of 5609.2m. So I don't know exactly which number is right. The mountain looks incredible. Thanks for showing that photo which told me a bit more about the geography of Iran. As a German citizen I would not visit Iran because the political situation is just to unsafe. But it is an interesting destination.
PS: You didn't tell me where you are from. I guessed Stockholm but it might be wrong. You don't need to tell, it is just a question.
Was born in Tehran, Iran 27 January 1960. Left the country 1979 to destination Sweden, where I' ve been living in since! So I passed 60 for a couple of days ago!! Got a master in Archaeology from Stockholm university but my passion and Interests was art and photography.

Wonderful mountain. The highest peak I ever saw was Mount Elbrus in Russia with ca. 5642m. But I never climbed on top of it.
