Mountain Arnica

Mountain Arnica is a plant native to Europe with large yellow flower heads that usually appear between may & august and grows mostly in nutrient-poor meadows, moors and heaths.

The plant has been known medicinally since centuries and is mostly used in homeopathic ointments for strains, sprains, and bruises.

It is also known by the names Mountain Tobacco and, somewhat confusingly, Leopard's bane and Wolf’s bane.

Dutch name : Valkruid
German name : Echte Arnika (auch Bergwohlverleih genannt)
Latin name : Arnica montana
