On the way to the volcanic site.
Approaching the volcanic site one has to cross a valley following a road that leads directly to the crater quite visible in the photo.The smell of sulfur and other minerals becomes very intense approaching the site and a surgical mask was of help.

A true rocky volcanic scene with very little in the way of vegetation and I can remember the smell of suh a place. Not pleasant.:))
