Nach einem netten Abend am offenen Kaminfeuer im Hotelpub, einer erholsamen Nacht und einem ausgiebigen Frühstück ging es am Vormittag im Uhrzeigersinn um den nördlichen Teil von Arran. Die Aufnahme wurde aus dem, auf der Ost/West-Verbindungsstrasse B880 von Brodick nach Blackwaterfoot fahrenden, Wagen aufgenommen.

After a nice evening at the open open lockfire in the hotel pub, a restful night and an extensive breakfast in the late morning, we drove clockwise around the northern part of Arran. The picture was taken of the driving car, on the east/west connecting road B880 from Brodick to Blackwaterfoot.


The Isle of Arran is often described as 'Scotland in Miniature', offering the scenery of the Scottish Highlands and Lowlands on one Island, in the North and South respectively.

The northern part of the island is a National Scenic Area, it is easy to understand why!

The 'String Road', officially known as the B880, runs from Brodick to Blackwaterfoot through the middle of the island.
