Do you know, Steve, that your photo "...not quite winter" inspired me in doing a similiar work while enjoying a "Tribeca moment" in Friedberg? We have already talked about it in FB. This - my - photo only does exist because I admired your photo and then experienced my personal "must have"-moment. And "Burg Friedberg (2)" now is the result of my longing. Thank you not just for the photo but also for the story. I haven't seen the film. My film watching days stopped before Robert Redford (which tells you something about my age...).I agree with you that monochrome focuses the eye more on the structure of the trees than a colour photo would. This image is not about a spectacular sky but about trees showing their beautiful shape and detail.
