Pavement tea
Pavement tea is very popular in downtown of Hanoi. It serves customers with low incomes. Here, you only pay about 2 cents for a cup of hot tea or a glass of iced tea with a filter cigarette. Sometimes, tea pavement is a main income of a poor family living in Hanoi. Many successful people have come from this family.

great street shot, beautiful play with light and shadow, and a very interesting text to go with it!! great example of "life in a niche", too! it's like an illustration of the old phrase "to rise from small beginnings": they literally seem to be living in a small "doll-like" world with tiny chairs, and tables, but hopefully their business will grow and thrive, and make them end up "big" and successful! greetings, sabine.Brian Collins 18/05/2010 9:36
