Seine Architekturaufnahme habe dadurch wirklich einen sehr eigentümlichen, aber wirkungsvollen Charakter.

zu deiner frage:

auch ich hatte einen etwas verwirrten gesichtsausdruck
als ich das gelesen habe...
Sugimoto hat wolkenkratzer, industriegebäude,
bürohochhäuser usw. mit einer der alten balgen-cams
fotografiert...
hier gab es (lt.der beschreibung in der galerie) keinen
anschlag (wo bei heutigen objektiven einfach ein
punkt erreicht wird, ab dem es nicht mehr weiter geht), so dass nach "unendlich" noch weiter fokussiert werden konnte...was er dann eben "doppelt unendlich"
fokussieren benannte...weil das anvisierte
objekt noch mehr in unschärfe dargestellt wurde...
und ich habe keine einzige scharfe architektur-
aufnahme von ihm zu gesicht bekommen....
die bildwirkung ist teilweise beeindruckend...obwohl
es bei manchen fotos nicht unbedingt meinem gusto
entspricht...
