Deine Aufnahme ergibt den Eindruck einer Gefährlichkeit (Farbe, Windung etc.). Doch Deine Kommentare zeigen mir eine gewisse Gelassenheit und da Du mit einem 200mm-Tele nicht eine zu grosse Distanz hast, ist das "Viech" kaum lebensgefährlich? HG Ruedi
Beeindruckend. Wir durften eine solche Viper bei einer Führung im der Gegend vor zwei Jahren miterleben. Vor lauter Staunen hatte ich nicht einmal mehr Angst - und schon hatte die Schlange sich im Sand vergraben.

In vielen Wüstenaufenthalten hat noch nie eine Sandviper oder eine Hornviper meinen Weg gekreuzt. Gerne würde ich diese Tiere einmal zu Gesicht bekommen. Eine spannende Begegnung hast Du da im Foto festgehalten.

Eine schöne Doku.Es ist eine Zwergpuffotter (Bitis peringueyi).
Hornvipern (Cerastes cerastes) besitzen spitze Stachel über den Augen und kommen nur in Nordafrika und dem angrenzenden Gebieten im mittleren Osten.
