Smoke that thunders

Central Africa
Zambia/ Zimbabwe
Victoria Falls

Two countries, Zambia and Zimbabwe enjoy jointly the bliss and benefit of Victoria falls in central Africa.David Livingstone, the Scottish missionary and explorer is beleived to have been the first to view Victoria falls on 16th November 1855 and named them in honour of Queen Victoria of England but the locals still insist in using the term "Smoke that thunders" anytime they refer to it...Victoria falls is classified as the largest in the world based on its width of 1708m and height of 110m that results in the worlds largest sheet of falling water. Victoria falls is twice the height of Niagara falls and in height and width is only rivalled by Iguazu Falls in Argentina and Brazil in South America.

In these photos I avoided impressive water bulk shots and settled more to the beautiful surrounding scenery as I walked from Zambia, crossed the borders and continued my walk in Zimbabwe territory.
