Stadtbild Wuppertal 50 (vista, a passage, a cityscape with windows seen from a moving train)
This is what one would/could see, as passenger, in Wuppertal's Schwebebahn ... looking out the windows ... the Schwebebahn is an overhead train; swinging, hanging on one rail,
and
the fotos are taken from inside the train.. usually moving.. (up to 35kmh) above the streets, over the river Wupper and through the various stations (a route of 13km hin und 13km zurück).

@Viktor Hazilov ... I see it the same way you do.
@Doris Reinecke ... odd perhaps, but I don't find it sad ... perhaps such street scenes are part of a larger city... and not that unusal.. one gets to see and find the beauty of such scenes... street scene as still life.
@Christian de Campoverde ... yes you are right it just may be the Nordost-Passage. John Franklin didn't come through because he fell in love with a Wuppertalerin
@Simone Slosharek ... verwinkelt ja ... verlassen no ... one should imagine it was 'Siesta' time

@Gunther K. yes... it'd fascinating what one can see along the route ... I have no idea what my favorite part of the city would be ... I suppose the most dramatic is when the train grows directly through the Bayerwerk.
@Harald Perlitius ... in the past Wuppertal had many a Brauerei ... and I think now is only one left... they have disappeared like the Tante Emma shops have faded away ...
@Kath. KS ... well ... I don't ride the Schwebebahn all that much... well not extra to take these pictures ...
it's the most convient and pratical way of getting around... as, in fact, Wuppertal is filling a valley, and the river is the main orientation, ..
the most essential parts of the city can be reached best, fastest, with greatest of ease (no trafic jams in up above the streets or river) from this train ... that one have a spectular view of the city from the train.. is something I discovered after riding the train many years...
@Olli ... trist? ... oh... I don't see it that way ... this street the moment I passed by... was empty... and perfect for a portrait of it's character ... I find that this picure is more like a painting
@Claudia ... ummmm thank you ... I like that "feine und 'fluchtige'"
@Hauseart Dr. Müller ... I prefer the Pils Budweiser from Prag
@EggiMa... yes it seems so ... as if that section of the street posed for me... Maybe the people there knew I was in the train and stayed of the streets...
@Sue Thompson .. yes that was coinsidence ... and I'm happy about that... I should have called ahead... and then that car would have been moved away too .. but it doesn't disturb the picture.. does it (I'm an modern painter)
