Steps up to Wat Chom Tong
My wife climbs the steps to the Wat Chom Tong in the small town Mae Sariang northwest of Thailand.
The staircase step up to top of hill to the temple the Naga snake banisters on both sides.
Images or depictions of nagas are a common sight in Thailand, particularly at temples. at we saw the staircase at a Thai temple, we took a closer look at the decorations and we noticed the naga which in Buddhism is often depicted as a snake or a serpent-like creature.

Großartig. Der Schirm deiner Frau macht sich hier besonders gut.Die Treppen mit nagas sieht man ja besonders in Nordthailand sehr häufig, berühmt ist dafür ja Wat Doi Suthep bei Chiang Mai, aber auch in Nan gibt es ein Wat mit einer solchen Treppe. Und noch einige andere die mir im Moment nicht einfallen. immer sehr schweißtreibend bei den dortigen Temperaturen.
