epitome of summer!! used to pick them all the time on vacation in bavaria when i was little. not today, though, even if they occasionally pop up in my yard – news of the fox tapeworm spoiled it for me, once and for all… so i enjoy looking at pictures of them even more because they beam me right back into the sweet and soft fragrances of a carefree bavarian summer… greetings, sabine. p.s.: i do like the splotch of blue in the back: a cornflower pushing herself resolutely into the picture but feigning coyness in order to not come across as a fame-hungry stage hog! ; )))
