naja, egal wie auch immer. gefallen tun sie mir trotzdem deine "erdeulen" ;)
is ja auch nicht so falsch. im englischen heissen sie burrowing owls. das heisst soviel wie kaninchenbau, erdhöhle.

@stefan - danke für die Anmerkung hinsichtlich Kanincheneule - da wirst du voraussichtlich vollkommen recht haben - wir hatten nur einen englischsprechenden Guide und entweder es handelt sich hier um eine freie Übersetzung von mir oder ein anderer Mitreisender hat den Ausdruck "Erdeule" geprägt
@uwe: kein Spiegeltele sondern ein 400mm APO von Sigma - allerdings konnten wir nicht zu nahe ran - es handelt sich daher um einen Ausschnitt und ich habe die Erdeulen in besserer Auflösung in mein fotohome gestellt:
@monika: diese Eulen leben am Boden in Höhlen und sind anatomisch sicher anders als andere Eulen

Das ist ja meeeeegacool :)) Die Viecher sind ja echt der Hammer, wie sie da cool rumstehen. Kann mir zwei Opas im Frack vorstellen, Hände hinter dem Rücken zusammen, so wie man es halt kennt, und dann wird beobachtet. Traumhaftes Bild!
