Winnie

This is a photo of my mother Winefred Riley. She died last week aged 91.

I took this on her 90th birthday. Apart from tweeking the levels this is exactly how it was shot. I was looking for a photo of her for the funeral mass and as I opened the directory of her birthday shots, this one was highlighted. There were two shots that appeared like this.

I have no idea why my camera did this and not really thought about it before now. If anyone has any idea how this happened I would like to know. You could spend hours in photoshop trying to reproduce this. Anyway, I like it.

She is in a better place now.

My condolences to the loss of your mother. My mother also died at the age of 81 a year in 2004. She had a hard life. I hope that your mother had lived longer and better than mine (she was at the front during World War II).
And about this photo : shortly before his death is always something mystical, otherworldly. Her soul is already knew she was gone to another world. Therefore, the soul has made such a blurred image, as in the parallel world.
    Regards, Vera

First, sorry to hear of your loss Robert.
Maybe it was just meant to turn out like this ? strange things just happen and its best not to ask to many questions to why ?

    Regards
    Bryan
