My great passion is working outdoors, contrasting the shape and texture of a body with natural and man made materials. The female form is an endlessly inspirational subject and a wonderful canvas that can project so many moods and emotions.
I welcome input from models - it's that aspect that draws me to working with people more than photographing inanimate objects, the way an idea can take shape and evolve on a shoot. I love the spontaneity generated by working in interesting locations. A day spent shooting nudes on location should leave one feeling uplifted, empowered even; it should be a joyful experience.
I am based in the south west of the UK and have put together a library of great locations over the years. The rugged beauty of Dartmoor is a special place to me. I love the physical and mental freedom offered by such wilderness areas. Similarly water in all its forms as well as ruined buildings, old mines, castles, abbeys and even industrial settings provide fuel for my imagination.
