"I am seeing the photographer's art as an examination of the self as well as of the world. When I start to work an a photographic project I always have to take some time wandering around observing the people and the situation around me. I want to become part of my environment. Only when I have the feeling that I have an overview of the whole situation do I start taking pictures.
I try to take pictures from unexpected angles and surprising perspectives and I am conscious of the fact that I can not be objective. It is important to show my very personal point of view, to capture and transport moods and emotions. For me, photography is a good way to grapple with myself and life, to learn and mature. What could be more interesting than life itself?"
