In the village of Fodele in Creta stands a beautiful little Byzantine church dedicated to Virgin Mary. It was built at the 14th century and decorated with frescoes, most of them ruined through the years. The interior was very smoothly lighted by the penetrating morning sun tempting very much for photography...

such places as this, very old and often very dark are difficult to photograph but with the morning light this is superb and full of details.Well exposed and with superb details.
