A kiwi it isn't!
But what is it? Sitting outside a hostel in the Abel Tasman National Park in New Zealand, this little bird accompanied us on the porch in the late afternoon. It just sat there looking at the camera coming closer and closer. Well, I had to because I had my wideangle lens on the camera.
I'm still wondering what kind of species it is...

Thanks for finding out what kind of bird this is...I couldn't find it.It was sitting next to us and panting a bit, maybe he was overheated. It sat still, even when the lens was just 25 centimeter away. After five minutes it flew away.
I was hoping it was a rare kind of species, but alas.
greetings,
Lucien

10-22mm !!!?!!You really must have been just in front of his beak.
Obviously a very brave (or hungry? ;-) bird.
Great shot
